Replacement FAQ
Q: Will this fit my Costco Divine Hot Tub?
A: Yes. Most Divine Spas sold through Costco utilize this 230V circulation pump. If your old motor has "K55MYRKH" or "1114121" on the label, this is the correct replacement.
Q: Can I use my old power cord?
A: Yes! If your original cord is in good condition and matches your spa pack's plug, you can swap it onto this new motor to ensure a perfect fit with your control system.
?️ Installation Guide: Divine Hot Tubs Circ Pump
Replacing a circulation pump is a common maintenance task. Follow these steps to ensure a leak-free installation.
- Safety First: Shut off the main power at the GFCI breaker. Do not attempt to disconnect or reconnect the pump while the spa is powered.
- Close Service Valves: If your spa has "slice valves" (gate valves) on either side of the pump, close them to prevent water loss. If not, you will need to drain the spa below the level of the pump.
- Disconnect the Cord: Unplug the pump from the spa control pack. Note the routing of the wire for the new installation.
- Loosen Unions: Using large channel locks or a pump wrench, unscrew the two plumbing unions. Be prepared for a small amount of residual water to drain out.
- Swap the Pump: Remove the old K55MYRKH motor. Place the new pump into the cradle, ensuring the flow direction arrow matches your original setup.
- Inspect Gaskets: Check the 1.5" (2-3/8" O.D.) o-rings inside the unions. If they are flattened or cracked, replace them now to prevent leaks.
- Hand-Tighten Only: Screw the unions onto the new pump. Hand-tighten firmly, then add only a 1/4 turn with a wrench. Do not overtighten, as this can crack the plastic pump housing.
- Prime and Power: Open the service valves. Briefly "burp" the pump by loosening a union slightly to let air out until water trickles, then tighten. Restore power and check for leaks.
Troubleshooting Tip: If the pump hums but doesn't move water after installation, there is likely an air lock. Simply loosen the intake union slightly while the pump is running until the air hisses out and water flows freely.
