Dr Wellness Topside Control Instructions for Spas with 2 Pumps UNDERSTANDING OPERATING MODES
UNDERSTANDING OPERATING MODES For Dr Wellness Topside Control Panels with 2 Pumps
Your spa controls feature three operating modes to help you conserve energy and reduce costs. The ideal mode depends on how often you use the spa and the surrounding temperature.
Ready Mode explained by SpaStore.com
- Water is always heated to the set temperature.
- "Ready" is displayed on the controls.
- Spa is always ready for use.
- Pump 1 circulates water regularly for temperature consistency and sanitation.
Rest Mode explained by SpaStore.com
- Water heats only during filtration cycles.
- May be too cool for immediate use.
- "Rest" is displayed on the controls.
- Avoid Rest Mode if the ambient temperature is below 40°F.
- Reduces energy consumption by heating less frequently.
- Water temperature can fluctuate.
- Consider ending filtration cycles before use for maximum energy savings.
Ready-in-Rest Mode explained by SpaStore.com
- Water heats for 1 hour when "Pump 1" is pressed.
- Otherwise, heats only during filtration cycles.
- Combines elements of both Ready and Rest modes.
- Pump 1 automatically shuts off if the set temperature isn't reached within an hour.
To change operating modes:
- Press the "Temp" button.
- Repeatedly press the "Light" button until "MODE" appears.
- Press the "Temp" button to toggle between modes.
- Press the "Light" button to save your selection.
Note: When your spa is in Rest Mode, the actual water temperature won't be displayed until Pump 1 is turned on.
