How to Fix Balboa FLO Error (M016)
The Problem: Your Balboa system has detected a lack of water pressure or flow through the heater tube.
Quick Fix: Remove your filter, check that your water level is halfway up the skimmer, and restart the power.
Step-by-Step Troubleshooting
- Check the Filter: 90% of FLO codes are caused by a dirty filter. Remove it entirely and reset the breaker.
- Verify Water Level: If the water is too low, air gets sucked into the pump, causing a "lock."
- Inspect the Pump: Ensure Pump 1 is actually moving water. If you hear a hum but see no bubbles, you may have an air lock.
- Pressure or Flow Switch: If the water is flowing fine, the pressure switch sensor may need replacement.
