Features

Opening a swim spa should not take two people and a lifter. This SpaStore.com rolling cover is one continuous piece that rolls back from one end, so you can uncover the spa yourself in under a minute and roll it closed just as easily.

  • One person, under a minute: roll the cover back or out on your own, with no lifting
  • WeatherShield® outer fabric: solution-dyed polyester that sheds water, resists tears and holds its color in strong sun
  • Steel-reinforced: C-channel galvanized steel support bars with EPS foam cores, rated for 275 lbs of static load
  • Insulated: a high-density insulating layer keeps the heat in the water
  • Locking safety straps: keep children and pets out when nobody is using the spa
  • Stores small: rolled up, it takes little room at the end of the spa
  • No lifter required: the light, segmented design rolls instead of lifting
  • Made in North America and backed by our 3 Years Limited Warranty

Rolling cover vs. hard cover

Rolling cover: far lighter than a foam hard cover. It rolls back instead of being lifted, so one person can handle it and no lifter is needed. The trade-off is less rigidity than a hard cover.

Hard (foam-core) cover: stiffer and usually tighter-sealing, so it tends to hold heat better in strong wind and very cold weather. It is also heavy and bulky, and most owners need a lifter, and often a second person, to take it off.

Which is right for you? Choose a rolling cover if you use your swim spa often and want quick, one-person access. If keeping heat in through harsh winters matters most, a hard cover may suit you better. Either way, a fitted cover keeps heat in, cuts evaporation and chemical use, keeps debris out and protects the spa from the weather.

Installation
  1. Open the packaging with scissors, taking care not to nick the cover.
  2. Set the rolled cover at one end of the swim spa and unroll it toward the other end.
  3. With one person on each side, pull the cover snug and center it on the spa.
  4. Pull each safety strap tight and unclip its buckle. Screw the female clip to the spa cabinet where the strap naturally lines up.
  5. Click the male clip into the female clip. Repeat for every strap so the cover sits tight.

Every strap must stay fastened whenever the cover is on the spa; the straps are part of what holds the cover's shape and strength.

Care & maintenance
  • Take the cover off when you add chemicals, and wait at least 30 minutes before covering the spa again.
  • Keep the water balanced. A stiff or changed texture, or heavy discoloration, can be a sign of chemical damage.
  • Brush off leaves and snow and remove standing water as soon as you can.
  • About once a month, wash the fabric with mild soap and water. Avoid harsh cleaners.
  • Re-apply a fabric waterproofing spray every 6 months.
  • Unbuckle all straps before rolling, roll the cover smoothly onto itself and never jerk, yank or drag it.
  • Always roll it in its intended direction (see Good to know).
  • When it is off the spa, store it in a clean, safe place.

Good to know
  • Cradle sold separately. The optional Rolling Cover Cradle holds the rolled cover off the ground and makes rolling smoother. It is not included; the arms you see in the photos are the cradle.
  • Made to order. Please allow 5–7 weeks for production and transit.
  • Rolls one way. The cover is built to roll in one direction only; rolling it the other way can damage the internal structure or the edge seal.
  • Keep the straps fastened. The installation manual requires every strap to be buckled whenever the cover is on the spa.
  • Rolling covers are offered for swim spas narrower than 96".

Warranty coverage & exclusions

Coverage. We stand behind the materials and workmanship in every rolling cover. Under normal use, our 3 Years Limited Warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship for 3 years on the WeatherShield® outer fabric and 1 year on the foam cores and support bars, starting on the date your cover is delivered.

What we do. If a covered part is defective, we will repair or replace that part, at our choice, and ship the replacement part to you at no charge during the warranty period. Labor to remove or install parts is not included.

Making a claim. Contact us with your order number, photos of the problem and a photo of the cover's production label. Please keep that label on the cover: claims without it cannot be approved.

Not covered.

  • Damage from animals, fire, vandalism, storms or other natural events
  • Too much or the wrong spa chemicals, or contact with other chemicals
  • Improper installation, misuse, alterations, or repairs we have not approved in writing
  • Normal wear and tear, including buckles and grommets, and seams that split or layers that separate from improper handling
  • Punctures, scuffs, chafing or holes from dragging the cover or resting it on sharp objects
  • Tears from pulling the cover by its handles, straps or skirt (the handles are only for opening the cover, and the straps only hold it in place)
  • Damage from standing, sitting or walking on the cover, or from loads beyond its rating such as built-up snow or water
  • Waterlogging from water left pooling between the support bars
  • Fading of the fabric or thread
  • A removed or torn production label
  • Damage to the swim spa itself or other indirect costs

The warranty applies to the original purchaser and cannot be transferred.

Frequently asked questions

Will this cover fit my swim spa?

This cover is 180" x 94" and is made for Bullfrog Spas S180 / S180XD. Before you order, measure your current cover (length, width and corners) and compare it with this listing, or send us your measurements and we will check the fit for you.

Is the cradle included?

Not with the cover. The Rolling Cover Cradle is an optional add-on that holds the rolled cover off the ground and makes rolling smoother.

Can I return or exchange the cover?

Every rolling cover is custom made to your swim spa's size, so all sales are final. We would rather help you get it right the first time: check the size and models above, and contact us before you order if you would like us to confirm the fit.

Where is it made, and when will it arrive?

It is made in North America and built to order. Please allow 5–7 weeks for production and transit.

How quickly can I open or close it?

One person can roll it open or closed in under a minute.

More questions
How do I take the cover off?

Release the safety straps, then roll the cover up from its starting end. It rolls onto itself, with no lifting or dragging.

Which way does it roll?

In one direction only. Rolling it the other way can damage the internal structure or the edge seal, so always roll it from the same end.

How do I install it?

Unroll it across the spa, pull it snug with one person on each side, then fasten each safety strap to a clip screwed into the cabinet. See Installation above for the step-by-step guide.

Is it waterproof?

The WeatherShield® outer fabric is water-resistant and UV-resistant. It sheds rain, snow and spa splashes and helps limit mildew and heat loss. Remove standing water promptly to keep it in top shape.

Do I need a cover lifter?

No. A rolling cover does not use a lifter. If you want help with rolling and storage, add the optional cradle.

How does it compare with a regular hard cover?

It is much lighter and easier to handle, and needs no lifter. A hard foam cover is more rigid and usually holds heat better in very cold or windy weather. See Rolling cover vs. hard cover above.

Will it lower my heating costs?

Keeping the swim spa covered cuts heat loss and evaporation, which saves energy and chemicals compared with leaving it uncovered.

Can it handle snow?

It is rated for 275 lbs of static load and is built for rain, sun and snow. When heavy snow falls, brush it off often so the cover does not sag or get damaged, and keep every strap fastened.

How long will it last?

Up to about 5 years with good care. Strong sun, extreme weather and heavy debris can shorten that.

How do I look after it?

Take it off when adding chemicals, keep the water balanced, wash it monthly with mild soap, re-apply a waterproofing spray every 6 months and never drag it. See Care & maintenance above.

Is it safe around children and pets?

It has locking safety straps and meets ASTM F1346-23, the safety cover standard for pools, spas and hot tubs. Keep the straps fastened whenever the cover is on the spa.

Which colors are available?

Redwood, Gray, Mahogany, Black and Taupe.

Under normal use, our 3 Years Limited Warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship for 3 years on the WeatherShield® outer fabric and 1 year on the foam cores and support bars, starting on the date your cover is delivered.
